Low-level C*C++ Software Engineer - great benefits - up to £40k DOE
Software Engineers required for our exciting semiconductor client. This role requires strong low-level programming at bus, chip and register level; knowledge of compiler technology and applications; hands-on experience of Linux and*or Windows driver production; experience of embedded development and*or DSP technologies; good knowledge of operating systems concepts and priorities; and a deep understanding of processor architecture.
Our client designs and supplies fully software programmable silicon platforms for high performance applications. Technology is based on patented parallel architecture, ideally matched to needs of identified high-end markets. The software tools team is now being expanded with a number of software engineers, working on compiler optimisation, run-time systems, board support packages, device drivers, and hardware support libraries.
The successful applicants will become part of the development team creating the company’s cross-development tools, run-time libraries and hardware drivers for our high performance processor products. This will involve; developing, maintaining and optimising the existing tools, targeting new architectures and platforms, and designing and developing new productivity, programming and debugging tools.
